Events 1895-1899

Laundry ... ugh.

John carries on with some woodworking. He doesn't get to do much because the garden demands most of his time.

At the church, Rev. Lockwood has a lovely new wife, Grace Lockwood. A parsonage was built behind the church for his family.

A simple family life continues in the Ross household. Little Edward is always crying.

A church gathering takes place. Everyone is eager to meet the preacher's wife.

John seeks out some private advice from Rev. Lockwood.

Abigail is beginning to take on more responsibilities.

The Ross children in action.

While Isabella is getting into trouble, Edward grows into a toddler in 1896.

Big sister Abigail is happy to try comforting Edward.

Abigail has also made friends with the monster under her bed.

A sweet moment with mother and daughter.

This kid never stops crying so Isabella goes out to help her dad in the garden.

In 1897, Isabella is ready to grow into a child.

Mary soon has another surprise of her own. Another Ross baby will be joining the family.

Edward is really getting into everything. This boy is always in trouble.

Why must the outhouse be so far away? Surely there's a better solution.

The children are learning and the parents are doing their best to provide for them. The garden really provides a good income for the family.

Jake is still here too!

As 1898 rolls around, they welcome twins Clarence and Lillian into the family.

Family life has become more chaotic than ever.

Trying to raise them right.

Mary maxed her parenting skill while visiting the Lockwoods. She met their new baby girl, Ruth.

Finally as 1899 comes to an end, Edward, Clarence, and Lillian all age up.

A few bonus family pics:

A fun blooper photo: When the twins were born the house was in chaos. Abigail was just talking to Clarence who was screaming. John decided it would be a good time to toss Edward in the air. Mary was breastfeeding Lillian whose bassinet appeared between the girls' beds. Isabella was freaking out at the monster under the bed.
